2024-After-Jam-Plan


Not really sure if anyone will see this or care, but here's my plan for Directive Scale since the jam ended!

I very likely will NOT be adding new levels, though I really like this game considering it's my first finished and published project I have more projects to tend to, and I also need to start prototyping stuff and mechanics for my big project. I WILL be adding control remapping just for some quality of life, the default keys to change between states will be J, K, and L as popularly requested during the jam, and I'll very slightly tweak the big guy to make him easier to control. Any bugs that get found I will also fix. I'll add this after the GMTK video comes out and the jam is fully over because I don't want to risk anything. Oh, and the tutorial text will accommodate for keybind changes and will be slightly darker for easier reading.

As for future projects, my big goal for game development/the game I really want to make over the course of a year or more is a retro horror game (very interesting and creative in current day I know) with fixed cameras and obvious Silent Hill/RE/Scorn inspiration. This is a long way away and no updates will be shared about it until it's close to being finished. 

It's possible I make small projects to figure out how to have different mechanics like behaviour trees or something else and post them here on itch if they're good enough.
